Overview

A mobile first social networking startup targeting feature set such as chats, communities and profiles. The application was available across, geography, devices and operating systems.

Challenges

While there were a large number of enrollments the platform was not able to scale beyond 200 concurrent sessions and had poor availability resulting in user attrition and limited growth.

Results

  • Recovering architectural design from code quality assessment and creating an event based loosely coupled services architecture.

  • Segregation of services based on quality of services and resource demand. 

  • Migration to loosely couples micro servers based architecture and distributed caching.
